Diane is a 'transplanted' American who came to Britain more than 30 years ago and stayed, eventually becoming a British citizen in 2004. For 15 years she found a home in the historic artist colony in St Ives, Cornwall, after a nomadic life of being born into an Air Force family and continuing to work as a civilian for the Forces. During this time in Cornwall, she was a psychotherapist, which still informs her artwork, and she earned a BA (Hons) in Fine Art at University College Falmouth. Since then she has completed an MA in Fine Art with Distinction, at Winchester School of Art. She has exhibited in London, Amsterdam, Washington D.C, Cornwall, East Sussex, West Yorkshire, Wiltshire and Hampshire, including the Southampton City Art Gallery in conjunction with the Louise Bourgeois exhibition, 'A Woman Without Secrets'.
